The Ventures hold several records, and keep playing until today and have sold over 100 million discs, which ranks as the most successful instrumental band and allowed the triumphal entry into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The band was led by the bricklayers Don Wilson and Bob Bogle, who forged their sound in a mixture of rock and surf music, backed by loud guitars, moderate dose of fuzz, palms, and why not, some choirs.
In 1960 they released their first album, with other people in the artwork, unable to be present in the photo shoots. In July 1964
edit this LP, which like most of his records, was full of covers including highlights the classic The Searchers, "Needles & Pins."
If you've never heard an instrumental band, it should be right to start.
I have no more words, to enjoy.
