The band was formed in the mythical city of Liverpool in England back in 1959.
were led by John McNally and Frank Allen who took the name of The Searchers, after having seen the film starring John Wayne, the same name.
The band started playing Skiffle but quickly veer towards more modern sounds, focusing on the Merseybeat movement and sharing the same style with bands like The Swinging Blue Jeans, and Gerry and the Pacemakers.
The strength of the band was on the vocals with endless hooks, which are highlighted on tracks like "Don` t throw your love away "or" Can `t Help Forgiving You" or ... anything else.
This album contains a cover of Jackie DeShannon, entitled "Needles and Pins", which lead directly to No. 1 on the charts and become a classic of the band.
